Before Christmas our school participated in the Swiateczna Paczka action. Thanks to Paulina Szymanska and her initiative a very poor family had received not only basic necessities but also Christmas gifts. My contribution, however, not that meaningful, but also important - I helped packing the presents and carried the packages. It needed collaboration with others, and took about 3 hours. I consider it as undertaking new challenges, because this is something that I have done for the first time. Through that action I engaged myself in the issue of a global importance - poverty, I "thought globally and acted locally", because we should start changing the world from our surrounding.
I also "considered the ethical implications of my actions", what is important that I realized that there are people who can not even spend normal Christmas, not caring about the basic necessities, not to mention the smallest gifts.

Time to gain some practical skill.

Last weekend I worked as a volunteer at a one of the juice bars “Skok na Sok” located in Kabaty district. I had to cooperate with other people and help them, which was difficult for because they went really harsh on me, anyhow I enjoyed time spent there ! By reason of that I developed new skill which may be useful in my future life. I am really satisfied with what I have been doing because because it showed that I can work collaboratively with others. Being a bartender means that you have to get in contact with your colleagues and communicate well with them, because this is the only ket to success. I am really happy that I actually had an opportunity to take part in the "real life", doing something for real, it was not fun, but I like to talk with customers and spend time with other people, because there is always something you can learn from them. I consider it as a planed and initiated activity, due to the fact that I had to be there at a certain hour - 10 a.m. and it was planned 1 week before the activity. It was also my own initiative, having on my mind CAS hours I asked if there would be a chance for me to work, and fortunately there was. I think that every work experience is really valuable, especially considering the fact that in the near future I will have to work, and this was really useful for me.
